I looked up a video online but there isn't much on YouTube that I could find, I was hoping someone could offer me some advice. I tried many different things like running the game as administrator, booting up the UGX file and they still don't show up but when I looked up the directory Users\AppData\Local > Codwaw > mods THE MAP FOLDERS DO SHOW UP!!! Even in the other folder that's in the same directory players\profiles$$$\mods. There's a mod menu so I thought it was as easy as downloading a mod and dragging the folder to the mod directory but it turns out that even when I ran an.exe map, it still doesn't show up in my gameplay. Then you just go into the game and click the map from the list of maps like you would any other map.I've been wanting to play custom zombies for years and today was my first time successfully installing a cracked pc version of the game and setting it all up for gameplay.
Pretty much all of the BO3 custom maps are found on the steam workshop, so it's as simple as finding one that you want and clicking subscribe. BO3 is much more straight forward when it comes to custom maps. Just off the top of my head, I believe UGX is a good site for custom maps for WaW, and there are a few others like I said. WaW probably has more custom maps than BO3 since it's been out longer as well. BO3 is much more demanding than WaW, so you'd have to check your system specs to see if you could run it well.Īs for custom maps, WaW has a couple different trusted sites that have an extensive library of maps. World at War is way less demanding than BO3 due to it being such an old game, so if your PC isn't very powerful, you'd probably have a much better chance at getting WaW to run than BO3.
It really comes down to how powerful your PC is when it comes to choosing which game you should get. Black Ops 1 has a very very very small amount of custom maps, and most people don't really consider it when thinking about custom maps. World at War and Black Ops 3 are the only games that have custom zombies.
